The Misericordia Junior Board is a unique opportunity for students, from the 8th grade through high school, to support Misericordia.  Since it’s creation in 2010, Board members have promoted the mission of Misericordia throughout the community through volunteering, recruitment, and fundraising efforts.  Meetings are held throughout the year at Misericordia for participants to plan recruiting, fundraising, and future service projects. Misericordia offers a multitude of opportunities for students to make a difference in the world around them, learn valuable leadership skills, and fulfill community service hour requirements.

Junior Board members plan and attend various events with Misericordia residents and Outreach Program participants throughout the year, including the annual Holiday Party and St. Patrick’s Day Outreach Party.

Junior Board fundraising culminates in April with the Spring Shuffle.
Since 2014, the Junior Board has organized the Spring Shuffle as a walk-a-thon for Misericordia residents and the community as a whole!  It is a morning of health and fitness activities that incorporates an informative and fun-filled tour of Misericordia’s campus.

Family Fest takes place every September. Join the fun and volunteer in a booth or on the campus!

While volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year, the biggest is Candy Days!  Junior Board members go above and beyond, continuing Candy Days in Wrigleyville before and after home Cubs games.
