Help Keep #MisericordiaStrong
Ready to take action?
You can support Misericordia Home through online, mail, phone, corporate, employee, matching, planned, or endowment donations, all exclusively benefiting its residents.
Cash Gifts
Cash gifts are crucial to our work and can be put to use immediately. Make a gift online using the above form, or mail a check to:
Misericordia Foundation
6300 N. Ridge Ave.
Chicago, IL 60660
Matching Gifts
Double or triple your contribution to Misericordia Foundation by requesting a match from your employer. Find out if your organization will match by inquiring with your human resources team. You will receive recognition credit for matching gifts, but the match must be recorded on the organization's record for tax purposes.
Donor Advised Funds
You can give through your donor advised fund or family foundation. Your donation is received through Misericordia Foundation with EIN# 23-7285834.
Wire Transfer
For information on making a wire transfer of cash gifts to Misericordia Foundation, please contact Jack Mayer at: jmayer@misericordia.com
Appreciated Assets/Securities
Securities can be transferred from your brokerage account to Misericordia Foundation. Please notify us of your intention to transfer shares, as donor information does not transmit through the DTC wiring system.
Qualified Retirement Plans
Naming Misericordia Foundation as a beneficiary of your qualified retirement plan (IRA, KEOGH, 401(k) or 403(b)) may be tax advantageous; doing so may result in more assets being passed on to your heirs than if you make a bequest from other funds in your estate.
Bequests and Planned Gifts
Donors can specify that they would like their estate to benefit Misericordia Foundation. A Special Needs Trust (SNT) can provide for your loved one without impacting SSI funding.
Real Estate
Real property can be deeded to Misericordia Foundation to benefit Misericordia Home. For residential properties, it is possible to arrange a sizable tax deduction by deeding a home to Misericordia Foundation, while continuing to occupy the property for life.
Charitable Gift Annuity
You may transfer money, securities, or real estate in a trust to Misericordia Foundation and receive income for yourself or another beneficiary for life. You may receive immediate tax benefits, and ultimately Misericordia receives the trust property.
