Building Leaders, Giving Back

Don't miss out on the excitement

The Misericordia Junior Board is a meaningful way for students in 8th grade through high school to get involved and give back. Since its founding in 2010, members have represented Misericordia's mission across the community through volunteering, fundraising, and outreach.

Members meet regularly at Misericordia throughout the year to plan service projects, fundraising initiatives, and recruitment activities. It's a great way to build real leadership skills, make a difference, and fulfill community service hour requirements.

Major Events

Junior Board members help plan and participate in events with Misericordia residents and Outreach Program participants throughout the year, including the St. Patrick's Day Outreach Party and Night in the Bakery during the holiday season.

Every September, Family Fest brings the community together on campus — volunteers are needed in booths and around the grounds, so come join the fun!

Volunteer opportunities are available all year long, but the biggest event is Candy Days. Junior Board members take Candy Days to the next level by continuing the tradition in Wrigleyville before and after home Cubs games.

Please note that funds raised by the Misericordia Foundation go directly to support Misericordia Home’s programs and services.
